It's been awhile since I've given a baby Q. II update. So here we go! Our last appointment we heard our baby's heartbeat and the doctor had to chase the baby down because he/she moved so much.
This Friday we'll be 20 weeks, so that means our next appointment the OBGYN will be scanning our baby's organ's to make sure everything is fine. As usual, we declined all the genetic testing and agreed to only take the test that will assist our doctor in aiding our newborn. At this appointment, we also have the option to find out the gender of the baby. Tony and I are still undecided. We have both a boy's and girl's name picked out and will be equally excited for either.
As far as the pregnancy, Michael keeps me so busy, I forget I'm pregnant. However, I'm reminded by my sheer exhaustion. Another annoyance of this pregnancy is insomnia. I wake up 3 or 4 am and cannot get back to sleep until 5 or 6. This makes it very difficult the days Tony works. I guess my body is getting prepared for the newborn.
We continue to tell Michael his baby is in mamma's tummy. He does the sign for baby and kisses my belly. Hopefully, he'll love his baby brother or sister and not be too jealous. Please keep us in your prayers as we await the birth of Baby Q. II.
