Special Visit

Today we were blessed with a visit from my parents and sister.  Michael and Nanni were super excited to see my parents.  We picked Michael up from school and you can see his excitement,  He gave Pa the biggest smiles.  So sweet!

Gold Medalist

I don't know if you can tell but this play structure is very tall.  It's completely safe but very tall. Christianna and Michael managed to climb all the way to the top step by step on a rope ladder.  Everyone around me was whispering about the brave little girl climbing all the way to the top of the structure and then going down the very big slide.  When she came out of the slide, I overheard a woman say, "That little girl deserves a gold medal."  That's my girl!

Finally!

Earlier this week we visited a zoo and park.  One highlight for Michael was that he finally reached the height requirement for a ride he eyed all last summer. When we arrived, he asked is if we could check to see if he was tall enough.  I wish I would have captured his smile when we found out he was indeed tall enough.  For the rest of the afternoon all he talked about was being a big boy and riding the big boy ride.

This ride went up a good distance.

 

There were points where he looked pretty scared, but when it ended, his smile reappeared and asked to go again.  I was shocked because I really didn't think he liked it.  When he did go back, he had the same reaction.  Big smile in the beginning, not too sure as the ride was going up and down, but when it ended, his big smile returned. Nanni was pretty upset she couldn't go on the ride. Hopefully, next summer,  she'll meet the height requirement.

Big Girl Bed

Christianna is extremely stubborn; This is nap time and she has made it clear that she wants a big girl bed.  If you notice, this is not her crib but the floor.  Needless to say, we'll be building her big girl bed this weekend.  Pictures to come!
