Big Day

Today was a big day for the Church and our family.  There was a lot to celebrate: Mercy Sunday, canonization of two popes-John Paul II and John XXIII, Matthew's baptism and feast day because JPII is saint.  It was a great day!

Happy Easter and Baby Jesus

Usually I don't think of baby Jesus when it comes to Easter but this Easter was different.  After communion Matthew was calling, "Baby Jesus.  Where are you baby Jesus?"  He then became upset because he could not find baby Jesus.  I can only guess he connected the large Mass attendance with Christmas.  That's the only reason that I can come up with for him to be looking for baby Jesus.  He was finally distracted by the area where you can write petitions.  He wrote a couple of names on the small piece of the paper and marched straight up to the alter and slipped his petition in the box.  He did this right at the final blessings.  One woman clapped for him when he finally made it in the petition box.  I may be bias but it was pretty precious.  Happy Easter!  He is risen!
