Finally Michael's asleep (2:00 am)

So last post I griped about Michael not sleeping very long.  Well, would you believe the very next day, our little boy, fell fast asleep after every feeding, and slept hard until the next feeding.  I will tell you why. 

Valentine's Day our family went to a small intimate Valentine's party.  We tried to time Michael's feeding so he would be asleep during the party.  We knew he would fall fast asleep once on the road and expected him to sleep at least a few hours.  Yes, he did fall asleep but only to wake up as soon as we arrived at the party.

Our baby proceeded to stay awake the entire party.  He quietly sat in his car seat taking in all the voices and his new surroundings.  We left the party close to midnight and he finally fell asleep about 2:00 am.  Michael our little party boy.  

After much sleep yesterday, he is finally himself today, alert and awake.

The Schedule

Accordingly to most books that we have read as well as our pediatrician,  "the schedule" looks and sounds great --  Michael should eat, play and at about 1.5 hours sleep.  However, if you notice in the picture below, his eyes are wide open.  Michael isn't too fond of sleep.  Books also tell us that Michael may be sleeping 6-8 hours a night at this point -- we're lucky to get four.  We can't complain though since he is usually a very joyful boy.  It's so delightful to watch him grow. His latest feat is sitting in his swing and having a conversation with his bear mobile.  Too cute!

Michael had his 2 month Well-Care Check.  At 2 months Michael's weighs 12 pounds 9 ounces and he's 23.5 inches.  I can't believe how fast he's growing.  

A Day Late

Yesterday was the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and It reminded me of our honeymoon because that was the last leg our honeymoon.  Tony chose Lourdes because he knew it was a place of healing and he thought that would be a beautiful place to begin our marriage anew.   A few pictures from our honeymoon.

Poor Baby Michael.

Please pray for baby Michael.  He is recovering from his first stuffy nose and cough.  A few images below.

We learned babies can't blow their nose, so you need to suck it out for them instead with the tool above some of you may recognize.  Michael hates this of course and cries.

Of course a humidifier is key.
