Nanni's Admission Exam

Today Nanni tested for preschool.

She dressed herself and she wore her school jacket.

Look at that smile!

It's almost time for our big girl to start preschool!

Today Matthew stood on his own and took two steps.  This milestone made me a little nostalgic and caused me to look back.

Matthew about 1 month old

Nani just about 2

Michael 3 years and a few months

Newsie

Ever see the movie Newsie? Matthew reminds me of one of the boys from the late 1800's.

Pictures

Michael loves taking pictures of himself. Can you see his chickenpox? Not nearly as many as Nanni.

Chickenpox is still winning

I think we'll start to win, soon. Hopefully!

Come on In

Wednesday I was reading my meditation book out loud and read, "Lent is here."

Nanni responded, "Mommy open the door and let her in."

I had a good chuckle.

Touchdown

Not Loving It

Nanni is rethinking her love for chickenpox. Oatmeal baths and calamine lotion are not as great a she thought. Poor girl is miserable. You can't see her chickenpox but she has a ton underneath her bangs, on her eye and lots on her tummy and back. Michael barely has any chickenpox and feels fine. Please keep the children in your prayers for a quick recovery.

Cheetah's

No, it's not a family of cheetahs but it's the Q Family.  Now Michael and Nanni have chickenpox.  Today Christianna happily announced that she has the chickenpox and she's super excited about oatmeal baths, calamine lotion and otter pops.  On our way home she kept saying there are going to be two kids taking an oatmeal bath because they have chickenpox. They know the drill because they watched Matthew.

Michael wouldn't touch baby with a 10 foot pole when he had chickenpox.  If Matthew touched a toy, Michael promptly announced it was Matthew's because he had the chickenpox.  He seems resigned to having chickenpox and definitely does not share Nanni's excitement or enthusiasm.

Pictures to come!

Theological Discussion

This morning Michael was having conversation with me and Tony. He started off by saying, "Daddy and mommy we can touch anything in heaven. Black widows, tarantulas, snakes and even electrical things. We won't even get hurt." Then he flashed us a big smile as he's visualizing touching a black widow.

The little theologian with his brother.

More International Day Pictures

Apparently International Day was celebrated in grades Pre_K-2nd.  The older children chose and  researched different countries and presented to the younger children.  Michael's class made passports and the different classes stamped their passports.  It really is a fun event.
