German Mama
The other night Michael brought me The Very Hungry Caterpiller book and said,"Mama please read it." I started to read the book and he replied, "No Mama, German." See we also have a German copy which Tony reads to him. I told him that Mama didn't speak German. Michael responded, "Michael knows German." I said, "Oh, tell me a German word." He confidently said, "Ojos Mama." In case you were wondering ojos is spanish for eyes. So our multicultural boy is versed in many languages, well at least he's working on it.

Mr. Vocabulary
His eyes are closed but his smile is so cute!
I believe I mentioned this before, but Michael has a real interest in the English language. If Tony or I use a word, he'll glom onto to it and make it his own or at least try. The other day, we were cleaning out our guest room and I found my favorite statue of Mary and made that remark. That night he asked to kiss his favorite statue of Mary. Then the following day, he commented, "Nana's favorite cereal is oatmeal and Michael's favorite cereal is cheerios and milk."
Another time, he commented how he likes his daddy's dwarf, but it's scary. I told him that was a paradox because he liked it but it was scary.
Maybe a week later, he was looking at a book and he said, "Mama a scary house. I like it but its scary. It's a paradox." However, he followed with, "Mama a witch. She's scary and I don't like her. It's a paradox." So then we discussed how a paradox is a true statement that leads to a contradiction. Of course, it's way over his head, but boy he listens.

Choo-Choo
Christianna loves Michael's train so much that she is always trying to climb on it which can be scary because she isn't too stable on her feet. Several times she's almost tumbled over the train but thankfully I caught her. So when Michael offers to give her ride, she is delighted. Here's a little secret, when Michael naps that's when she rides the train. That will definitely be a blog post.

Michael Goes to Work
Do you remember this house?
I have to say both children absolutely love it! Nana army crawls from across the room to play in the house and Michael spends lots of time cooking food for me and just playing house. I remember playing house when I younger but not this young.
Today all three of us were in the house and Michael announced he was going to work. He kissed and hugged me and Nana. Then he picked up three different toys and left the house, copying Tony leaving the house with his lunch box, computer bag, and miscellaneous stuff. While he was leaving he turns to me and said, "Mama you're the man of the house while I'm gone." Yes, every morning Tony tells Michael that exact thing.
Shortly after, he returned home, he kissed us and told us he went to work to get money, so we can buy food.
It was really cute!
